Core & Balance is a specialised workout that focuses on strengthening the back, shoulder girdle, and entire spine using an exercise ball. It combines stretching, relaxation, spine extension and endurance exercises. Much attention is paid to maintaining balance, stabilising the pelvis and back, and strengthening the arms and legs. Balancing on an exercise ball forces the stabilising muscles to engage, and also helps to focus attention on yourself and your surroundings. The workouts are suitable for anyone who has a sedentary job and wants to maintain good posture, and who feels back weakness or restricted movement.
